Born and raised on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Matt was drawn to spending as much time as possible outdoors. Naturally, photography has become the favoured means of documenting his travels.

His love for photography stems from when he was younger, and used to act as an assistant to his father on his photoshoots. Back then they were using 35mm and medium format film cameras to capture images, which they developed and printed in a homemade dark room at the top of the stairs. He has recently rediscovered the joys of film photography, along with developing and processing rolls of film at home.

Matt is a member of the Professionals Team for Vanguard Photo and a UK Pro Partner for Kase Filters, and can regularly be found supporting these brands at various shows and events throughout the UK. Matt has been fortunate enough to have his work published by several national and international newspapers, national television networks and photography magazines. He has also taken part in a series of instructional videos with Practical Photography Magazine and regularly leads photography workshops throughout the UK and Iceland.
